I'm away so didn't see it, but the missus showed me a video of Sam Ryder being brilliant.

Re: Anyone watching the jubilee celebration concert?
Rod Stewart saying something like the BBC made me sing it ..then went into sweet Caroline.

Was Sheila Ferguson there or did Camilla kick her out?

Re: Anyone watching the jubilee celebration concert?
Flicked over a couple of times then flicked back to what I was watching on record!¬ Showing my age by admitting I hadn't a clue on who many were when reading the line up so Her Maj must have been baffled watching on TV unless she is "in" with these new music stars. Prefer comedy over music myself so if they had gone with Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr and Jim Davidson following Diversity I may have watched it!

Re: Anyone watching the jubilee celebration concert?
Didnt watch ... couldn't see anyone on the list that I had any interest in. And didnt fancy the MC being P Charles talking about MUMMY.
Difficult gig for someone to put together. Biggest current stars are not going to be interested so its a roll call of blandness and has beens looking for some attention.

You'd think they may have asked the likes of Adele & Harry Styles but obviously not available or interested.

Re: Anyone watching the jubilee celebration concert?
Not really Mike, plenty of WHITE artists but they were mainly utter shit, like George Fucking Ezra for the example. It was just a shit line up.

Re: Anyone watching the jubilee celebration concert?
Not seen it, but between reading the set-list and the comments on here, it sounds like a woke interpretation of what e should ALL have been listening to for our enjoyment over the last 70 years.

Re: Anyone watching the jubilee celebration concert?
I wonder how many are approached and say no.

After all, to firmly nail your colours to the royal mast puts you firmly in a particular basket as far as your fans are concerned. I'm sure many would be reluctant to do that.

Be interesting to know who had been approached and said no. I can think of many 'big stars' who would have likely declined.

Was Cliff there? If not, I wonder why.

Is this the best we have to celebrate her maj?

Some crumbly old rock stars and an American who was big in the 60s and 70s.

Re: Anyone watching the jubilee celebration concert?
I didn't even know it was on, let alone attempt to watch it

There's something insipid about a 70 plus bloke referring to his 'mummy'. The title should skip him and go straight to his son.

Re: Anyone watching the jubilee celebration concert?
Rod Stewart was a fucking abomination.

Queen were desperately shit.

David Attenborough is not a fucking deity however much everyone weirdly adores him.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber bit was unlistenable and unwatchable.

Duran Duran were embarrassing.

I didn’t make it as far as Diana Ross.

Otherwise it was okay.

I thought it was a BLM sponsored show, with a few token whitey's thrown in so as not to upset the vast majority of the viewers too much.
Absolute pile of shit.

Had her Maj invited the Sex Pistols (with Mattock, not Vicious - Sid being unavailable), even I'd have grudging admiration for her...
